Flying in Four ReviewWell Flying in Four has just been released and much like Alex Maroko and Kelly Baggetts previous product, this one is big on claims but bad on value. Really, really bad on value! ![]() WHAT IS FLYING IN FOUREssentially Flying in Four is three 28 day programs that according to the authors will pretty much guarantee you 4 inches of vertical in 4 weeks time. For those of you who have read my recent Vertical Jump Gains article you will know why these sorts of claims are total garbage. On top of that Alex is also provide personal coaching – for a monthly recurring fee of course. Flying in Four is also a text book case of exactly the sort of program you should avoid. It sets off all the hype alarm bells of a program without substance.
QUALITY OF INFORMATIONKelly is one of the most knowledgeable coaches around. His Vertical Jump Bible is one of the best training resources on the market (or you could save yourself the $40 and just download our FREE vertical jump training guide). As such the programs themselves are as you would expect, well put together.Of course, for the soon to be $67 price you might want a bit more than some well put together cookie cutter programs (and that is all they are). After all in the promotional material that came out before Flying in Four was released Alex Maroko mentioned that Kelly had kept a few ground breaking tricks up his sleeve which is what these programs were going to be based on. Unsurprisingly this appears not to be the case. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying they aren’t good programs, they just don’t resemble anything special or new, and they certainly are not ground breaking. Whatever tricks Kelly may have up his sleeve are as far as I can tell - are still there. CUSTOMIZATIONWell you can customize the training to the extent that you can pick one of the three programs. Of course customization is not going to make much of a difference over such a short period of time anyway so it isn’t a big issue. These programs are designed to be short sharp affairs promising quick results.PRESENTATIONThe ebook format that Flying in Four comes in is easy enough to follow and the programs themselves are easy enough to understand. However some of the exercises might be a bit unfamiliar which creates an interesting dilemma (see what a farce this is below).![]() VALUE FOR MONEYUnfortunately Flying in Four is TERRIBLE value for money. At the introductory price of $47 it is more expensive than Kelly’s VASTLY superior Vertical Jump Bible, which not only contains a lot more programs, but a lot more useful information in general.Seriously why would anybody pay $47 ($67 in a few days) for just three short programs? And don’t think that you can do all three back to back and turn your Flying in Four into Flying 12 and expect to gain 12 inches (3 x 4 inches). That just isn’t going to happen. You are in fact essentially paying that price for just one program you can actually use. The sales page suggests it is going up to $67 in a day or so, and if it wasn’t bad enough at $47, well becomes a complete waste of money at $67. For example compare Flying in Four to Vertical Mastery. Vertical Mastery is a one time purchase price of $67. There are no monthly recurring fees, any and all coaching and assistance comes free. For the $67 you pay for Vertical Mastery you also get UNLIMITED FULLY CUSTOMIZED programs because it is a software application that is constantly adapting to your individual needs. With Flying in Four you are paying the same price for a pdf file containing three short four week programs. As the programs are over so quickly you are then stuck with nothing except the recurring monthly fees. Wow, what a bargain - NOT. And just for laughs not seen since the Vertical Project look at the bonuses these guys give you. included in the package are two interviews with THEMSELVES – great value there. But the bonus that really gets me, and pretty much sums up the rip off that Flying in Four is, is the bonus of the exercise library, which, get this, is only available when you purchase the one time offer upgrade. This is absolutely disgraceful. Here is a direct quite from the sales page: “Kelly’s bringing in some brand-new exercises that most of the world hasn’t seen or used before” Do you see the problem here. They are selling a program that contains exercises that you may never have heard of and the only way you can find out what they are is by paying extra. Really, videos of any exercises in a program should be a STANDARD feature as is the case with Vertical Mastery. Truly, when you have to use such desperate tactics to pump up the value of your product you are clearly getting desperate. Flying in Four really should be at most a $9 report, NOT a $67 product with a recurring monthly fee. CONCLUSIONKelly Baggett used to be one of the most respected trainers going around. All his previous products were truly excellent and every single one of them represented great value for money. I don’t say that lightly either. His earlier books are some of the best you can buy. They are full of no BS advice and well written. Indeed some of them were actually called the "no BS gude to"However since teaming up with Alex Maroko they have released two very mediocre products in the Truth About Quickness ($67 for a dynamic warm up routine – I don’t think so), and now this waste of space. Clearly Kelly is over his "no BS" phase and has well and truly entered the "Full of it" stage. Do you want to know what a program like this that offers so little but claims 4 inches in 4 weeks is? It is the vertical jump equivalent of a get rich quick scheme. That Kelly would start agreeing to put his name to these sorts of products and allow them to be marketed with such blatant hype suggests he is becoming no better than Luke Lowery, and that folks is a damn shame. FINAL NOTEI am aware that this review is overwhelmingly negative. Please don’t think I have written this because I am trying to stifle or deliberately undermine my competition. It is overwhelmingly negative because of the fact that it is over priced, over hyped rubbish. With some of the other great programs out there including Vert Freak, Alex Vasquez’s Sky High , Kelly Baggett’s much better Vertical Jump Bible, and of course our own Vertical Mastery software program, I just can’t recommend Flying in Four to anybody. One last thing and that is I know that I will probably upset a few of the Kelly Baggett fans out there with this review. I have after all placed a lot of the blame for this product squarely on his shoulders when clearly the marketing side of things is Alex Maroko's handywork. However, as it is Kelly's previously well earned good name that is being used to promote it the buck has to stop with him. To be honest I hate writing reviews like this. Even more so when it concerns a product by someone who I have enormous respect for. Give me the pleasant surprise of reviewing a good program like Vert Freak or Sky High any day. However I just don't understand why Kelly Baggett, who through his honest, no hype, no BS approach he took with his earlier products no doubt helped many athletes over the years avoid the pitfalls of the Luke Lowery types, would now seemingly start to become exactly this sort of person.
