Jump Manual ReviewThis is now my third go at reviewing the Jump Manual. The first review I wrote was extremely harsh, the second one, not so much, and this one, well you will just have to read it to find out. ![]() QUALITY OF INFORMATIONThe information in the Jump Manual covers the key facets of what is required to improve your vertical jump. It covers the need to do strength work to improve force production as well as plyometrics and jumping be able to access that strength quickly. It also discusses sound principles of nutrition and the key recovery techniques to ensure that you maximize your gains. If you didn't know anything about vertical jump training and read the Jump Manual you would definitely be headed in the right direction to get your hops up. CUSTOMIZATIONJacob's underlying philosphy behind the Jump Manual is that for most people starting out they just need to get better at everything. And for the most part, he is right. Beginners definitely need to get better at everything. So with that in mind the workout contained in the Jump Manual is a program designed to get you better at everything. WHich is great if you are a beginner. If however you are not a beginner and have more individualized needs, then the program outlined in the Jump Manual might not be so effective. However, Jacob overcomes this with the option of monthly coaching at a very reasonable fee of $10 per month. For your $10 Jacob will work with you to ensure your training program is designed to meet your needs. Now if there is one thing I know about Jacob is that he cares about his customers and he works very hard to ensure they have success from their training. He also knows his stuff so you can be assured that the advice he gives will be good advice. PRESENTATIONWith technology getting better all the time it is becoming easier to put together a decent looking program. The Jump Manual is no exception. I found it easy to read and follow. The writing was easy to follow and the book itself is structured in a logical manner. For the most part, the Jump Manual is nicely put together.![]() VALUE FOR MONEYThe Jump Manual is $67 plus the optional monthly coaching fee of $9.95 per month. At this price it makes the Jump Manual one of the more expensive programs on the market. If you compare it and Vertical Mastery in terms of value for money, Vertical Mastery has an unlimited number of highly customized programs, while the stand alone Jump Manual is just the one. However, and here is where it gets interesting. A lot of people have used the Jump Manual and been happy with the results, plus Jacob also offers a guaranteed 10 inches in 12 weeks. If you don't get your 10 inches you can (and should) always ask for your money back. CONCLUSIONIn the vertical jump industry there are pretty much two kinds of people. There are the bad guys who are those marketers and con artists who promise the world and make all sorts of claims and there are the good guys, such as Kelly Baggett, Alex Vasquez, Adam Linkenauger, and of course myself, who actually do know what they are talking about and offer good programs that will get you results. Jacob Hiller is clearly one of the good guys.In all my dealings with him I have found him to be a very genuine, courteous, and helpful person who left with the impression that he is someone who wants to help athletes maximize their vertical jump to the best of his ability. He also has a terrific knowledge of the fundamentals of vertical jump training and shares some of those thoughts at his site freeverticaljumptraining.com Maybe I am getting soft in my old age, but the more I deal with Jacob Hiller, the greater the level of respect I have for him. If you do decide to buy the Jump Manual I am sure you will be very happy.
![]() One final thing, Jacob's program has been ripped off word for word by a competitor. If you are interested in buying the Vertical Jump Explosion program then don't. This is the program that has ripped him off. Do the right thing by Jacob and buy the Jump Manual instead. You can purchase it from the official site: The Jump Manual COMPARISON TO VERTICAL MASTERY
