Best Use For Improving Vertical Jump

Medicine ball push throws are an excellent way to develop explosive strength. Due to the squat position you are in at the beginning, and the push/throw motion at the top, this exercise places greater emphasis quadriceps and deltoids than the overhead and forward medicine ball throws.

Technique Tips

Whilst holding the medicine ball in front of you at about chest height, squat down, before quickly exploding up into a jump. As you ascend quickly push the medicine ball up into the throw. Aim to throw the medicine ball, and to jump, as high as you can.
