it would be surely of good help knowing the following details:
1) video card used.
2) Laptop model
3) resolution and depth used, try changing it and using the resolution which is SPECIFIC for that screen, each laptop comes with its own optimal resolution depth....usually depending upon the graphic card adopted there is a wizard that enables the user to set the optimal resolution. (high chances that the solution comes with this)
4) version of .NET framework installed, make sure ver. 3.5 SP1 is installed.
5) version of windows and version of service pack used, if any, if win xp is used make sure service pack 3 is installed.
6) if there is any separate graphic controller, disable it and try running the program again.
