Best Use For Improving Vertical Jump

Scissor jumps, like paused scissor jumps, are an excellent exercise for improving your ability to absorb and stabilize landing forces. However unlike the paused version, regular scissor jumps are a more reactive focused drill. The addition of the weight vest helps add some resistance to your jumps forcing you to work that much harder, but unlike using a medicine ball you are still able to freely swing your arms.

Technique Tips

The idea of this exercise is to land and get back off the ground quickly. Focus on minimizing ground contact time but not at the expense of jump height.
