Single Leg Depth Jumps are an excellent way to improve eccentric strength, reactiveness, and your ability to stabilize yourself as you dip into your jump.

Technique Tips

This is often considered to be an advanced exercise and being a single leg exercise, it is pretty high impact. As such make sure you use a low box until you can determine what is an appropriate height for you. Also make sure you are well warmed up. There is nothing sillier than doing high impact plyometrics when you are cold.

That aside, the same advice to regular depth jump applies. Use minimum knee bend when landing and try and spend as little time on the ground as possible.
