    <title>Apr 3, VerticalJumping.com Update</title>
    <link>http://www.verticaljumping.com</link>
<description>Just an update to let you know what has been happening lately. Firstly I have finally finished adding tips and links to all the videos in the exercise library.

I think I might need to re-shoot a few of them as I have recently purchased a HD Flip video recorder and I am not happy with a lot of the videos in their current format.

Also the Program Builder is coming along nicely. About two months ago I let my original programmer go and replaced him with a small software firm who seem to be doing a much more progressive job in getting it all done. I have been optimistic before about release dates (and been very, very wrong), however the firm are doing a good job and it should only be a month away (fingers crossed).

Did anyone else see the video by a well known saleman in the vertical jumping industry explaining why squats are bad for explosiveness and improving your vertical jump? Oh my god! I seriously have not laughed so hard in a long time.

Anyone using the words - 'squats' and 'bad for your vertical' in the same sentence honestly has no idea what the hell they are on about.

Getting strong in the legs by squatting and doing plenty of jumping to be able to apply that strength quickly enough is one of the most fool proof methods of increasing your hops.

Thats it for now. I will try and add a few new articles in the coming weeks (including a review of the Jump Manual for those who have been asking) but if you don't see much going on it is because I am working behind the scenes to ensure that the Program Builder is fully tested and the manual is ready to roll when the software is finished.

Cheers
