The man behind VerticalJumping.com is well known athletic performance coach Jack Woodrup. Hi, that's me below.
Although jumping high isn't the main focus of my own athletic training any more, I still do quite a lot of speed and power work, and even now in my early 40's I maintain a 38 inch running vertical jump.
But you didn't really come here to read about me. You came here to find out how to jump higher. And you have come to the right place. Here is why.
Anyone who has investigated the research and literature on vertical jump training will soon realize that there is not only a massive amount of information available, but much of it is conflicting with other sources, just plain wrong, or as is sadly quite often the case - straight up marketing lies.
By building Verticaljumping.com I hoped to educate athletes and coaches about what was really possible, what the correct jump training principles are, and to help people avoid the many scams that surround the vertical jump industry.
During my own research into the subject I have spent thousands of dollars on books, reports, jump training equipment, programs, and spent countless hours with both myself and other athletes to determine what works and what doesn't.
I was fortunate enough to have the means and motivation to spend this time and money but I know that isn't the case for everyone, particularly students and recreational athletes. As such, this site was created.
