Back squats using bands are similar to the regular back squat but they also have the added benefit of accommodating resistance. As such they can be used for either improving maximum strength or explosive strength. When bands are used I tend to favor using slightly lighter weights and going for more explosive work. The technique for back squats with bands is exactly the same as regular back squats. Barbell Back Squat - If you don't have access to bands don't stress. Regular barbell squats have gotten plenty of athletes strong.
