Goblet squats are a great training tool for teaching you proper squat mechanics, building strong legs, and also developing excellent core strength.
Goblet squats are hard to mess up. Simply grab a dumbbell or kettlebell, hold it to your chest and squat down.
The two main things to look for are 1) your knees should not cave in, and 2) you should be descending deep enough that your hips are below your knees.

Double Kettlebell Squat - A more advanced version of the goblet squat
Front Squats - The traditional front loaded squat. Great for quad strength development.
